Our exhibit for the month of April will feature works of Stoughton artist Eli Cedrone, on display March 31 - May 3. Eli will offer portrait & figure sketching for the public on Saturday, March 31, 11am-2pm. Please, make an appointment by calling the Gallery at 781-749-0430. Visitors are encouraged to chat with Eli, view her exhibited work, and pose for a quick sketch with an option, but no obligation, to purchase the result. The cost of the work will start at $100. Sketches will be done in oil paints. Eli works in oils, and feels it's important to work from life. She paints en plein air or develops larger works in studio from the model, memory and a variety of reference materials. Her work bridges abstraction and realism. She is most drawn to the human form - the body. Eli has spent her lifetime creating. Her work has been exhibited nationwide and she is a popular workshop instructor in the alla prima method. Contemporary Realism would best describe her style.
