Former Hingham NHL Player To Appear at Local Hockey Camp

A youth hockey camp featuring former NHL greats Andy Brickley, Brian Leetch, Rick Middleton and Ted Donato will be held in Quincy later this month.

Former NHL player and current Boston Bruins color commentator Andy Brickley of Hingham is just one of many former professional stars that will help coach at a youth hockey camp in Quincy this month.

Interested young hockey players can now register for the NHL Alumni Hockey Camp for Mites- Bantams, which will be held at the nearby Quincy Youth Arena from Aug. 26-29.

The camp will feature four NHL five instructors who have played in the NHL, including Brickley who currently lives in Hingham.

Former Boston Bruins defenseman Glen Featherstone and David Jensen, a 1984 US Olympian and former 1st round draft pick from Needham will organize the four day camp.

On Monday, NHL Hall of Fame member Brian Leetch will visit the clinic to teach some of skills that that helped him win two Norris Trophy awards, a  Conn Smythe Trophy as 1994 Playoff MVP and the Stanley Cup that very same year.

The camp will also feature former Boston Bruins right winger Rick Middleton and Harvard Head coach Ted Donato, who also played in the NHL for 13 years and is from Boston.
