Funeral Arrangements for Sean Ryan, Age 18
A celebration of life service is scheduled for Wednesday.
Relatives and friends of 18 year-old Sean Ryan are invited to attend the memorial visiting hours 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at in Hingham. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Resurrection in Hingham.
The Hingham teen died Saturday after he fell from a moving vehicle Friday night, police said.
At approximately 10:34 p.m. Friday, Hingham Police responded to Tudor Place for a report of a man passed out in the road.

Responding officers found 18-year-old Sean Ryan, with serious injuries in the road surrounded by a large group of people.
According to Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth, a police investigation indicated Ryan and his girlfriend had been walking on Manor Drive when their friend drove by, stopped and offered the two a ride.

Ryan climbed onto the outside of the vehicle, on the rear bumper, while the friend sat in the rear seat. The vehicle then drove a short distance to the victim’s driveway. The vehicle’s occupants then noticed the victim was no longer on the outside of the car and found him in the road, police said.
Ryan, who just last Saturday, was taken to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries and died at the hospital Saturday evening, police said.
According to investigators, unopened alcohol was discovered in the vehicle; however, the operator, 19-year-old Nicholas J. Okeefe, of Hingham was found not to be impaired or under the influence of alcohol.
The Hingham Police are still investigating the accident and will file charges pending the completion of the investigation. Check Patch tomorrow for more information.
