Kate's Table, a prepared food shop and catering service, will have its grand opening Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The new shop at 99 South St. in Hingham Square will be operated by sisters Kate Driscoll Papaleoni, of Hingham, and Kelly Driscoll Griffin, of Scituate. It takes over the space that was formerly Joseph’s Hardware at the Sherwin Williams plaza.

The new Hingham kitchen will offer private catering services for events ranging from weddings to graduations to small intimate dinner parties, and will also feature a take-out dining area with prepared foods.

Papeleoni, who has 17 years of  professional cooking experience, said in a previous interview that her company will also offer delivery services to companies and South Shore homes.

Her sister Kelly will co-own the business and will serve as the event manager.

The Driscoll sisters grew up in the town of Lincoln, but now call the South Shore their home.

A sampling of Kate’s Table’s menu can be found on their website. The regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The door is on the back of the building below the Bar Method.
