Hanover Native Runs 2017 Boston Marathon for Massachusetts Fallen Heroes

Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, an organization dedicated to honoring the Fallen, supporting Gold Star Families and empowering Veterans, is pleased to announce its 2017 Boston Marathon team of 23 deserving runners. One team member representing Mass Fallen Heroes this year is Hanover native, Casey Quirk.

Casey will be taking on her first marathon this April, while representing the local nonprofit. With the passing of a close friend’s boyfriend recently while serving overseas, Casey decided Mass Fallen Heroes was the right group for her to support for the Boston Marathon. Casey will be raising $7,500 for a great cause that will help our local Veterans and Gold Star Families.

“I wanted to run my first marathon for a cause I cared about and that tied back to people I know and care about,” said Casey. “I felt honoring men women and families who lost something for our freedom was the best connection for me.”

“We are thrilled to have Casey on our team this year and grateful for the efforts she is making to raise the money to help further our mission,” said Dan Magoon, Executive Director of Mass Fallen Heroes. “Every year we look forward to building our teams for each road race we participate in and welcoming the runners into the tight-knit community we have created with past, present and even future runners.”
