Hate Speech In The Sand, 2nd OUI, And More: Hingham Police Log

September 11

11:20 a.m. - A caller reported hate speech and other offensive signs in the sand at the kids baseball field at Kress Field on Gardner Street. The DPW used a rake to clean the sand and remove what was drawn.

9:31 a.m. - Follow a traffic stop on Derby Street, William Holley Jr., 43, of Braintree, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

9:42 a.m. - Workers at AT&T at the Hingham Shipyard told police that about 20 iPhones were taken during an overnight robbery.


September 14

1:37 a.m. - Mark Waters, 53, of Weymouth, was arrested near the intersection of North Street and Bank Avenue and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense), operating negligently to endanger, miscellaneous motor vehicle violation, and drinking alcohol from an open container inside a motor vehicle.
