Herb Chambers Donates Stolen Vehicle-Tracking Computers to Hingham Police
The department will receive LoJack Police Tracking Computers.
Using a stolen vehicle in Hingham just became more difficult thanks to a donation from the Herb Chambers Company.
The car dealership announced last week that they are donating LoJack Police Tracking Computers.
“We are very excited to add the LoJack Police Tracking System to our capabilities,” said Chief Glenn A. Olsson said in a release. “Anytime we can expand our capabilities to fight crime it’s a positive for the citizens. We would like to thank The Herb Chambers Companies for this kind donation and for continuing to be a great community leader.”

The computers are used to track and located stolen vehicles that have the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System installed. Using a hidden, wireless radio-frequency signal, police can locate a vehicle, with the signal entering a national vehicle stolen recovery database.
