Hingham Beer Works Serves Up October Flavors
The Hingham restaurant now has a new October beer and dish menu.
As the weather and leaves begin to change this Fall season, so does the menu at Hingham Beer Works.
The popular Shipyard restaurant recently released their October menu which offers a variety of seasonal drinks, along with delicious new dishes.
One of their most popular seasonal drinks is the Pumpkin Works Ale, which Hingham Beer Works Director of Brewing Tim Morse described as, “Dessert in a glass.” The beer selection is a copper-colored ale that’s brewed with pumpkin pie spices. The Pumpkin Works Ale is so flavorful that it can be served with dessert and customers have the option to order the drink with cinnamon sprinkled around the rim of the beer glass.

The drink is also an ingredient in the new dessert item, the Jack o’Lantern Float, which is a pint of the Pumpkin Works ale with a scoop of pumpkin ice cream. Hingham Beer Works chefs believe the drink is served best with their pumpkin pie or the Beer Works mud pie, which is made up of chocolate, malted vanilla and coffee ice creams with chunks of Oreo and peanut butter cups topped with whipped cream and crushed nuts.
Those who may not like the pumpkin flavor, can try the Octoberfest lager (Bodied with a soft, sweet, malt flavor), the Autumn Amber Alt (A German-style amber colored ale with full malt flavor) or the Red October (A full bodied ale with a big malt flavor and a Subtle Hop finish). Each October Beer Special can be ordered in a 12, 16, or 22 ounce glass.
