Hingham Business Council to Host the Town's First PizzaPalooza March 25th

The competition and fun family event will feature local restaurants and pizzerias going head-to-head in a Pizza Showdown to determine which establishment will be named “Hingham’s Best Slice”. All ticket proceeds will benefit the South Shore Special Needs Athletic Partnership (SNAP), which provides the community of special needs children and their families the opportunity to participate in athletic activities and programs that are specifically designed and tailored to their disabilities. To learn more about SNAP visit www.hinghamsports.com. To date Crow Point Pizza, Liberty Grille, Stone Hearth Pizza, Papa Ginos, Café Tosca, Pizza/Sub Galley and Peel Pizza are participating. Whites Bakery, Sadie Mae’s and Nona’s are providing sweets and Atlantic Bagel is providing coffee. All attendees will have a voice in determining Hingham’s Best Pizza. One restaurant will be awarded the “People’s Choice/Best Slice” award based on the popular vote of attendees. The “Kid’s Choice” award will be decided by a separate children’s ballot. A “Judge’s Choice” will be determined by a panel of local “celebrity judges” who will all participate in the blind taste testing. Tickets are $10 per person/$30 per family and can be purchased at the door on the day of the event. “We are excited to bring this wonderful family-friendly event to the Hingham community and raise funds for a great local cause,” said Jeff Tocchio, Chairman of the Hingham Business Council. “We encourage our Hingham restaurants to rise to this challenge, and we look forward to an evening of great food and fun.
