PHOTOS: Hingham Gets Jolly With Trees and Cocktails

The Snug crowned holiday cocktail winner.

The Hingham community came together on Saturday night to raise thousands for local charities while sampling drinks from some of the best restaurants in town.

A total of 250 Hingham residents gathered for the annual Treeview Holiday to sip cocktails and bid on Christmas trees, while raising $33,000 for the Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore, The Claddagh Fund, and The Hingham Mothers' Club Scholarship Fund.

Organized by the Hingham Mothers Club, guests were able to sample cocktails prepared by five local restaurants while a celebrity panel of judges voted for their favorite.

The competition was fierce with the Shipyard's newest restaurant Union Fish battling Wahlburgers and The Snug for not only the attention of the judges but also the vote of the people, after the competition was advertised online.

With every cocktail a little bit different, it was going to take something special to triumph and with voting close, The Snug walked away with the plaudits after its HoHoHo drink was deemed to be the best on the night.

The judges were Stan Blackmur of South Shore Magazine, Maria Ferri of South Shore Living Magazine, Jessica Bartlett of Boston.Com, Neil Deininger of Ruby Wines, and Stacey Page of Hingham Jewelers.
