Hingham Election Season Coming: Nomination Papers, Key Dates
Find out what positions are on the Hingham ballot in 2019.

HINGHAM, MA — Town election season is officially open. Candidates have until March 5 to pick up nominations papers and until March 7 to get at least 50 signatures and withdraw papers for the Hingham annual election on April 27.
Voters will have plenty of decisions to make with 12 positions up for a vote on the April ballot. The following elected officials have terms expiring in 2019:
- Michael J. Puzo – Moderator - One-year-term
- Paul K. Healey - Board of Selectmen - Three-year-term
- Christine M. Roberts - Board of Assessors -Three-year-term
- Kirk J. Shilts - Board of Health, Three-year-term
- Roger M. Freeman – Municipal Light Board - Three-year-term
- Elizabeth O’Reilly -School Committee - Three-year-term
- Carlos A. F. Da Silva – School Committee - Three-year-term
- Kay L. Praschma – School Committee - Three-year-term
- Jennifer Gay Smith - Planning Board - Five-year-term
- Kirk J. Shilts Sewer Commission - Three-year-term
- Robert D. Keyes – Housing Authority -Five-year-term
- Sarah J. Melia – Recreation Commission - Five-year-term
