Hingham Ferry Suspended Indefinitely

Service out of the Hingham Intermodal Center at Hewitt's Cove off Route 3A is suspended until further notice.

HINGHAM, MA — The sub-freezing temperatures and bitter cold has meant no Hingham ferry service to start 2018.

The MBTA announced Monday that service out of the Hingham Intermodal Center at Hewitt’s Cove off Route 3A is suspended until further notice due to ice damage to the dock.

Commuters have a few options in the interim. The Hull-to-Boston ferry service is still active and a free shuttle will operate between the Hingham ferry and West Hingham station on the Greenbush Line. Monthly ferry passes will be accepted on the commuter rail, according to the MBTA.
