Riley is from Hingham and attended high school at Phillips Academy in Andover. In the first week of October, Riley, a junior at Bowdoin piled up 14 points to lead the Polar Bears to a perfect 3-0 week in NESCAC play. In the same week, Riley scored 4 goals in a 6-1 victory over Bates,  scored a game winner to go a long with a assist in a 3-0 shutout over Colbyand had three assists in a 3-0 against Williams.
