Hingham High Hockey Star Wins Hobey Baker Award
Emily Falvey received the award for exemplifying character, commitment, teamwork, persistence, selflessness, academic excellence and sportsmanship.

Hingham High School girls’ ice hockey captain Emily Falvey won this years' Hobey Baker Award for exemplifying both teamwork and academic excellence.
The award is presented to each high school’s hockey player who most exemplifies the values and traits of Hobey Baker himself: character, commitment, teamwork, persistence, selflessness, academic excellence and sportsmanship.
Baker is a member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, Canada's Hockey Hall of Fame, and Princeton's Hall of Fame.

Falvey was one of 80 athletes in the state to receive the award. She was captain of the girls’ hockey junior and senior years and was a member of the 2010-11 Hingham High School girl’s varsity hockey team that won the Division 1 Championship.
Falvey received the award last month at the TD Garden.
