Hingham Obituaries – Longtime Residents Passed Away This Month
The following are recent obituaries for Hingham residents or those with Hingham ties.

DOROTHY MARGARET (ARNOLD) VALENTINO, 81, a Hingham resident for 60 years, passed away of pancreatic cancer on Monday, Aug. 12th, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tazewell, Tennessee where she was raised on a farm. She was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC and was associated with the FBI Personnel Dept. While in Washington, DC she met her husband of 60 years, Daniel G. Valentino. Mrs. Valentino was also associated with the Town of Hingham Treasurer's Office retiring in 1992.

BEVERLY ANNE (RICE) DEEMS, a lifelong Hingham resident, passed away on Aug. 14th, 2013 at the age of 75. She was a secretary for Pumping Systems, Inc. for 20 years, retiring in 2000. Mrs. Deems enjoyed her children, grandchildren, knitting and traveling. She was a very creative person and made specially decorated birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She also was active in the Linden Ponds Community in Hingham.
