Hingham Police Arrest Hull Man On Drug Charges
Garrett M. Joyce was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.

HINGHAM, MA — A Hull man was taken into custody on drug charges after police allegedly watched his vehicle swerve over Route 3A.
Garrett M. Joyce, 32, of Hull, was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class B substance, and a marked lanes violation.
On June 25 at about 10:20 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Kilroy observed a 1999 Mercury Marquis begin to swerve over the white line on the Broad Cove Road portion of Route 3A. Police say he almost drove off the pavement.

After pulling the vehicle over, officers allegedly found two Adderall pills on the console and a prescription bottle with more Adderall pills in it that were broken into pieces. The prescription bottle was for another medication and had another person’s name on it.
Joyce passed a series of tests and was found not to be driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was placed under arrest for the pills.

In the backseat, officers found a large food saver bag containing more than two ounces of marijuana, two glass mason jars with marijuana, and several other food saver bags with marijuana. The trunk contained a food saver machine and 10 new empty food saver bags. In his pants pocket, officers found $3,775 in cash in various dominations. The cash was held as possible proceeds from marijuana sales. Hingham Police K9 Pablo arrived and searched the car and no additional drugs were found.
Joyce was released on $300 bail and arraigned Monday in Hingham District Court.
