Hingham Police Cite Driver In Rollover Jeep Crash
Hingham police said that the proper use of seat belts might have saved lives Saturday when two Jeeps collided on Kilby Road at Route 3A.
HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police are crediting seat belts for potentially saving lives on Saturday night after a crash on Kilby Street at Route 3A. Police said a 17-year-old driver of a black Jeep was cited for failure to yield after the Jeep pulled into the path of a white Jeep, causing a crash that led to a rollover of the black Jeep.
Police said the black Jeep rolled over and landed upright.
"Seat belts made the difference in this rollover crash," Hingham police posted on their Facebook page. "Both drivers were properly seat-belted and went home with family instead of to the hospital (or worse). … Hope it's a habit to buckle up every time for you, and your family as well."
