Hingham Police Investigate House Break-In On Lazell Street

Hingham police said a basement window was smashed at a home in the 100 block on Lazell Street Sunday night.

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police are looking for help from anyone who saw something suspicious in the area of the 100 block of Lazell Street Sunday night after a break-in at a home. Hingham police said an alarm apparently scared off burglars after a basement window was smashed.

Police said the suspect entered the basement after smashing the window about 5:15 Sunday, but fled the house without taking anything after the alarm sounded. Police ask that anyone who saw something out of the ordinary - including a strange person or car - in the area, contact Det. Philip Tracey at 781-741-1443.
