Hingham Police Log: Car Crash on Route 3, Computer Scam, and More

April 7

6:56 p.m. - A caller on Hazelwood Road told police that she received a phone call informing her that her computer had a virus. The man on the phone began to download items to her computer and demand money. The caller did not give the man any money.

3:01 a.m. - Robert Patchett, 33, of Hull, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop on George Washington Boulevard.

4:58 p.m. - Margaret Lahage, 68, of Hull, was arrested during a traffic stop on George Washington Boulevard and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with suspended or revoked registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

April 10

2:37 p.m. - A two-car crash was reported on Route 3. One person was taken to South Shore Hospital.
