Hingham Police Log: Cyclist Hit by Car, Breaking and Entering, and More

July 4
9:14 a.m. - A caller on Gardner reported a person that went into their home. After the caller gave a description of the man and his vehicle, police were able to locate the suspect in Norwell. The suspect, Matthew Sheehan, 36, of Norwell, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering during the daytime for a felony.
11:58 a.m. - A cyclist near the intersection of Crooked Meadow Lane and Main Street was struck by a car. The cyclist did not appear to be injured and was walking around.

July 5
10:20 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Cushing Street, Jeffrey Sardina, 54, of Norwell, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation.

5:07 p.m. - An assault was reported at Bay State Community Services on Beal Street.
