Hingham Police Log: OUI, Crash on Route 3, and More

June 24

9:59 p.m. - A caller on Howland Lane reported a couple fighting. An officer spoke to the parents who said it was a small group of children playing in the yard.

2:47 a.m. - A crash on Route 3 between Derby Street and Route 228 was reported. One person was transported to South Shore Hospital.

June 26
12:52 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Summer Street, Majid Afousi, 63, of Natick, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, and reckless operation so as to endanger.

9:40 p.m. - A caller reported a group of 15 kids that were disturbing the peace by running in and out of yards and running in front of cars near Howland Lane and Whitcomb Drive. The kids were playing flashlight tag and were sent home for the evening.
