Hingham Police Log: Stolen Property, Stuck Ducks, Smashed Car Window, and More

June 20

5:15 p.m. - Six baby ducks stuck in a storm drain near the intersection of French Street and Woodlock Road were reported. Police and fire responded, and were able to remove all the ducklings.

June 21

5:35 p.m. - A caller on Coolidge Avenue told police there were cows behind his house and he believed they came from 150 Hersey St. Police rounded up six rams and worked on the fence so it doesn't happen again.

June 23

5:43 p.m. - A smashed car window was reported on Leavitt Street.



June 24

7:19 p.m. - During a traffic stop near the intersection of Bradley Hill Road and Lincoln Street, Frederick Nickerson, 53, of Jake Hopatcong, N.J., was arrested and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle so as to endanger, three counts of receiving stolen property under $250, and taking a number plate.
