Hingham Police Officer, K-9 Unit Injured In Crash

Hingham Officer Ryan Ross and his K-9 unit partner, Pedy, were injured in a crash, while on their way to another crash on Route 3A.

HINGHAM, MA — A Hingham police officer and his K-9 unit were injured Saturday, following a car crash on Route 3A. According to police, Officer Ryan Ross was on his way to a rollover crash on Lincoln Street, when he himself ended up in a crash with another vehicle.

Ross and the other driver were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, while K-9 unit Pedy was taken to a veterinarian for examination. Pedy's injuries were also non life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
