HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police engaged in a nearly three-minute chase at high speeds overnight on Feb. 16 that ended with a suspect crashing over a curb and being arrested on two outstanding warrants. Police released the dramatic dash cam footage of a suspect attempting to flee a police stop and ensuing chase down Route 3A through town and over the Fore River Bridge into Quincy.
The pursuit ended with the suspect crashing over a curb, and into a structure, and getting out of the car to surrender. Police said he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest, and now faces additional charges, including driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
The chase began when police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop at a gas station following a disturbance call. The officer followed the suspect at a reasonable distance for several miles, and over the bridge, before coming up on the crash in Quincy.
