Hingham School Holds 50th Anniversary Art Exhibit

The school will honor its artists from 6-9 p.m. on Friday evening at the South Street Gallery in Hingam Square.

The Old Colony Montessori School in Hingham will celebrate their 50th Anniversary with an Alumni Art Exhibit this Friday.

The school will honor its artists from 6-9 p.m. at the South Street Gallery in Hingam Square.  Each artist has been taught by Lynn Rizzotto who runs “Children”s Creativity Workshops” in Hingham.

Courtney Palek, the school’s Development Coordinator said the current elementary class will be featured in a Digital Show, also on display at the Gallery.

“The art these kids have created is gorgeous and it is such an honor for us to be able to recognize them in this manner,” she said.

The ages of the OCMS alumni artists on display are 5 years old up to recent college graduates in their 20's. The entire exhibit will even be hung at children's eye level.

Palek said the event will also include a 50th anniversary framed poster which will be available for $75 with a variety of frame colors to choose from.

Guests will enjoy refreshments provided by Alma Nove, Kate's Table and Good Life Kitchen.

Tickets to the Opening on Friday night are on sale at OCMS for $15 each and $20 at the door. Artists and their parents are free of charge.
