Hingham Senior Center Volunteers Sought

The Hingham Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help out with photos, driving, social media and food delivery.

HINGHAM, MA — The Hingham Senior Center is looking to fill several volunteer positions. The Senior Center could use a digital photographer, food pickup driver and drop-off driver, a graphic design assistant and shuttle drivers.

Volunteers must complete an application and must complete a background check. Those interested in helping out with the following positions are asked to contact 781-741-1458.

Digital Photographer (1 to 2 positions): Photographers looking to build a portfolio might be able to do so documenting events that take place during business hours throughout the year.

Panera Drivers (1 to 5 positions): Drivers are need to go to Panera Bread to pick up donated items at 8:50 p.m. at the Derby Street location and bring them to the Senior Center the next morning. Items are wrapped and given to residents or visitors.

Graphic Design Assistant (1 position): An assistant is sought to help the director and current graphic design assistant in designing flyers and notices. Familiarity with Facebook is required.

Shuttle Drivers (several positions): Drivers are needed to take seniors to grocery stores, beauty shops, the library and other errands. Shifts required: Tuesdays (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) three per month, Thursdays on-call and Friday (8 to 11:30 a.m.).
