Hingham Snowstorm Central: Winter Storm Warning Issued
A winter storm is expected to bring a few inches of snow and high winds for Hingham Saturday.

HINGHAM, MA — Winter Storm Jonas will drop 6-8 inches of snow on Hingham this weekend.
The storm is expected to wreak havoc on the mid-Atlantic Friday, possibly dropping up to 3 feet of snow on that region. By the time it reaches Massachusetts, however, it will have weakened.
Hingham is expected to receive around 6-8 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather warning for Hingham. The warning will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday.
A winter storm warning is issued by the NWS when an average of six or more inches of snow is expected in a 12-hour period, or eight or more inches in a 24-hour period.

- TIMING: Snow will fall through the evening before tapering off after midnight. Rates of one to two inches of snow per hour is possible.
- WINDS: North wind around 20-30 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.
- TEMPERATURES: In the upper 20s.
