Hingham State Rep. Stepping Down

After nearly 16 years at the State House, State Rep. Garrett Bradley is leaving on Aug. 1.

Hingham, MA – After joining the State House in 2001, State Representative Garrett Bradley is now preparing to leave.

The Hingham Democrat told the Boston Globe Monday that he will step down from his position when the legislative session ends next month.

Bradley said he wanted to spend more time with his oldest child, who is applying for college. He will also be taking a more senior role at his Boston law firm.

Bradley first campaigned for the seat unsuccessfully in 1998. Two years later, he beat House Republican Mary Jeanette Murray.
