Hingham Teens Charged In Cohasset Nursing Home Break-In

Cohasset police said two Hingham 18-year-olds were charged in the break-in of the abandoned nursing home Tuesday night.

HINGHAM, MA — Cohasset police charged two Hingham teens Tuesday night with breaking into an abandoned nursing home. Police said the 18-year-olds were also being investigated in connection to two break-ins at the same location last week that resulted in $10,000 in damage.

Cohasset police said the two men arrested after they attempted to flee officers responding to the break-in on Route 3A about 8 p.m. Cohasset and Norwell K9 units were brought in for the search that led to both suspects surrendering to police. Hingham police were called to help provide a perimeter for the search.

The men were arraigned for breaking-and-entering at Quincy District Court on Wednesday. Cohasset police said the previous break-ins involved smashing the sound alarm and discharging fire extinguishes.
