Hingham Wants Supreme Judicial Court to Hear Aquarion Case

Aquarion and Town disagree on where to argue out how much the region's water infrastructure is worth.

Hingham is looking for help from the courts in determining a purchase price for their water infrastructure and will request to move on to the Supreme Judicial Court to hear the case.

Since the action, Aquarion disagrees with the town and has filed a request to go through the Superior Court, or the normal court process, according to Boston.com

John Walsh, Vice President of Operations for Massachusetts and New Hampshire, told the Globe that skipping the trial court phase does not make sense, as there were no extraordinary circumstances that would justify it.  He also said Aquarion is entitled to a jury trial and a discovery phase.
