June 13, 2016 – Hanover, MA – June is Public Safety Awareness Month and Juniko, with locations in Hanover and Hyannis, Massachusetts, is giving back to public service professionals with a special 30% membership discount offered to our local community heroes. Police officers, fire fighters, EMTs, educators, doctors, hospital staff and military personnel are invited to redeem this promotional discount at both Juniko locations during the month of June.
Juniko, a boutique fitness and wellness sanctuary designed to enhance physical fitness and foster the growth of human character, offers members of all ages a place to experience the art of human movement including Gracie Jiu Jitsu, diversified yoga, cardio kickboxing, Muay Thai and other unique offerings. Designed to embrace a family approach to fitness, Juniko offers simultaneous fitness experiences for both youth and adults and will be introducing childcare and an enhanced class schedule suitable for the summer months.
Co-founded by former Wall Street executive, Michael Garrity, and Master Daniel Gracie, a 2-time World Champion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Juniko was created as a way to give back t the art that Garrity credits for helping him save his life, creating much needed balance and instilling a sense of peace and direction that he had been seeking. “Juniko is about giving back and changing people’s lives in much the same way it saved and changed mine,” says Garrity. “Juniko’s strategic intent is to create a brand that celebrates and fosters the growth of human character and values. It is where children and adults can find peace, stillness, confidence and direction.”

In the spirit of community support and outreach, Juniko, a top sponsor for Sunday’s PMC South Shore Kids Ride, held at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham on June 12, 2016, embraced and celebrated the philanthropic hearts and authentic joy of our south shore children and families. Juniko provided reusable bags, water bottles, and free class passes to over 500 registered riders and offered myriad opportunities to observe and participate in Gracie Jiu Jitsu demonstrations throughout the event. Co-hosting the PMC Kids Ride Tykes Loop with Hingham’s Old Colony Montessori School, Juniko also sponsored a team of riders under the Team Juniko name, fundraising to support The Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
“Juniko was created to be a gift to our community. We are honored to recognize our public service professionals and to have supported the PMC Kids Ride. Juniko embodies and instills values that inspire children, families, and individuals to be the best version of themselves. For our Juniko team, that includes dedication to our community members and support for one another,” concludes Garrity.
