Linden Ponds' Welcomed 150 guests to Annual Garden Promenade Event

Hingham, MA -- Linden Ponds welcomed elected officials and 150+ guests to the 10th Annual Linden Ponds Garden Promenade Event.

The Linden Ponds gardens cover close to an acre, bursting with flowers, fruits and vegetables.

“What a beautiful day we had this year,” said Christine Hansen, Director of Sales, Linden Ponds. “Mary Power, Hingham Selectman, and hundreds of guests joined the Linden Ponds Gardener’s Club for a guided walking tour of their flower and vegetable gardens. They also had a chance to listen to performances by the Linden Ponds Singers, led by Linden Ponds resident Lo Steele, and enjoy light refreshments before sitting down to an afternoon luncheon with resident ambassadors. And all female guests received their very own homemade oversized hat!”

The Linden Ponds gardens are a patchwork of mini-gardens, each about 9 feet square. Every design is intensely personal, based on the resident who owns the garden. In one, a tiny walkway of stones leads to a charming birdhouse; another presents neat rows of corn; in others, flowering vines climb exuberantly over a trellis. One of the oldest patches is covered by raspberry bushes, and others offer a gala mix of flowers and vegetables thriving together.

“This is an event that brings together residents and visitors,” said Hansen. It’s a wonderful event every year.”
