Local Groups to Make Case for Preservation Funds
The Hingham Community Preservation Committee will hear the pitches on Jan. 6 and 7.

Local groups in Hingham will make their pitch for preservation funds this week.
On Jan. 6, pitches will include requests to preserve maps, photos, and town monuments and for Second Parish Church and Whiting Street restoration, according to the Boston Globe.
The next day, presentations will be heard on the Kress Field Playground, the Hingham Maritime Center Building, and the Lehner property off South Pleasant Street.

The meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. at Town Hall, with a vote from the Community Preservation Committee expected on Jan. 13, and a presentation to Town Meeting in April.
