Man Accused of Torturing 'Puppy Doe' Arraigned on Thursday in Dedham
Man arraigned in Puppy Doe case.

The Polish immigrant who is accused of torturing a dog in Quincy faces arraignment in Dedham Superior Court on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m., reports the Patriot Ledger.
A grand jury indicted Radoslaw Czerkawski, who is 32 and formerly of Quincy, last week on 12 charges of animal cruelty and one for misleading police. Czerkawski is accused of brutally torturing a pit bull, which later was found to be named Kiya, and leaving her in Quincy park. Her injuries were so severe that veterinarians decided to euthanize her.
Since, animal advocates have organized vigils, making Puppy Doe a poster child for a growing awareness of animal cruelty.
