Man Arrested in Hingham for Wakefield Liquor Store Robbery

Stephen M. Wentworth is charged with robbing the store on Oct. 8.

A 35-year-old homeless man was arrested by Hingham by Wakefield detectives on Tuesday night in connection with an armed robbery at a Wakefield liquor store earlier this month.

Stephen M. Wentworth was charged with armed and masked robbery, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of a firearm used in a felony.

The armed robbery took place on Thursday, Oct. 8 shortly after 9 p.m. at a liquor store on Water Street.

At the time, the suspect was described as a white male wearing light jeans, grey and black hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers with a red swoosh. He was also seen carrying a long gun.
