New Mexican Restaurant Coming to Hingham
The restaurant will be Hingham's second Mexican restaurant.
A new Mexican restaurant is coming to South Hingham.
Plaza Azteca is planning to open in the former Chili’s location on Route 53 Whiton Street.
The Mexican-chain restaurant has locations five states including two locations in Massachusetts (Worcester and Methuen).
The restaurant offers a variety of Mexican dishes including fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, steaks, chicken and seafood dishes and nachos with a multiple different dips, according to plazaazteca.com.

There is also an kids menu, salads and vegetarian options.
At Monday’s Hingham Selectmen meeting, restaurant manager Antonio Melendez will request a liquor license for their bar area.

The restaurant plans to be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday; 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday, according to documents submitted to the selectmen.
An opening day has yet to be announced.
The restaurant will be Hingham's second Mexican restaurant. The other is Salsa's on Route 3A.
