Missing Hingham Man Found Safe

HINGHAM, MA – A man with Alzheimer's who went missing from a Hingham retirement home has been found safe, police said. John Kelliher, 82, was last seen at Linden Ponds around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police said. An employee's car, a black Lexus, was reported stolen around the same time.

The Lexus was found stuck in a snow bank by a passerby at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday morning. Kelliher was behind the wheel but drove off before officers arrived, according to Hingham police.

Kelliher was found at Brockton High School less than an hour later and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
