Negotiations for Barnes Wharf Lease Making Progress

Town administrator Ted Alexiades recently gave an update to the selectmen.

Negotiations between the town and Lincoln Maritime Center for the lease at Barnes Wharf are making progress according to town administrator Ted Alexiades.

While did he did not go into details, he said that legal representatives for the town were expected to be done with the draft by the end of the week.

“We’re making good progress,” he told the selectmen Thursday.

Alexiades is expected to return to the board with the parameters for the deal after meeting with opposing counsel and LMC.

At town meeting in April, the town voted to enter into a long-term non-exclusive lease with a non-profit organization for the operation of a sailing and rowing center at Barnes Wharf.
