New Hingham Police Chief Sworn in
Glenn Olsson officially becomes the Hingham police chief on May 1.
Glenn Olsson, a veteran of the Hingham Police Department, was sworn in as the town’s tenth police chief in a brief ceremony Thursday morning.
“I know moving forward we have a great department and I can count on the help of all the troops. We have some great guys who are working on new ideas,” Olsson said. “I’m going to be following the example of Mike (Peraino) and all the previous chiefs. They’ve really layed down the foundation for Hingham to have a great department.”
Olsson replaces the outgoing Chief Peraino, who starts his retirement on May 1.
