Norwell Police Standoff Ends Peacefully: SWAT Team Called
Police were originally called for a well-being check on the 50-year-old resident, but police said the suspect had weapons in the home.

NORWELL, MA — A person barricaded their self inside a home with weapons on Farrar Farm Road, according to police.
The situation ended peacefully, Police Chief Ted Ross told WATD 95.9. Police were originally called for a well-being check on the 50-year-old resident, but police said the suspect had weapons in the home, so SWAT teams were called.
The suspect was brought into police custody and taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The street was behind the Fours Bar and Grill. Police temporarily blocked off the restaurant's parking lot.
