Notre Dame Grad Will Join Pepperdine Division 1 Swim, Dive Team
Notre Dame Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for young women founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1853.

Notre Dame Academy in Hingham is proud to announce that recent graduate, Kyra Pellant, a Braintree resident, has accepted an offer to attend Pepperdine University and participate in the university’s Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving team.
Kyra is a native of Mankato, MN and learned to swim at just 10 months old. She spent monthseach summer living with her grandparents in Hayward, WI, which is located on a lake. It was here that Kyra developed her love of swimming.
After moving to Waltham, MA, Kyra began to swim with the Waltham Boy’s and Girl’s Club Tiger Shark swim team. Upon arriving at NDA, Kyra began a four-year career as a varsity athlete, earning herself four varsity letters.

During the 2011-2012 season, Kyra had a stellar performance in the State Tournament and placed 4th in the 200 yard Medley Relay, 4th in the 400 yard Free Relay and even competed against male athletes, placing 13th in the 100 yard Free.
In 2010-2011, Kyra placed 3rd in the 400 yard Free Relay, her best finish in to date in the State Tournament. The NDA Community offers its most sincere congratulations to Kyra on this incredible accomplishment.

Notre Dame Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for young women foundedby the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1853. Located in Hingham, Massachusetts, the Academy enrolls approximately 600 students in grades nine through 12 from more than 40 communities.
