UPDATE: Bridgewater Woman Killed in Hingham Crash

Police say the crash took place on George Washington Boulevard.

HINGHAM, MA — One person has died following a car crash in Hingham.

At about 11:14 a.m., a pedestrian in front of Hingham District Court on George Washington Boulevard was struck by a truck, according to the Hingham Police Department. A preliminary investigation indicates the that the person, identified as a 56-year-old Bridgewater woman, was struck in the road by a 2016 Ford F350 that was traveling north. The woman was transported to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck, a 23-year-old Hingham man, remained at the scene and was taken to South Shore Hospital, police said.

During the crash investigation, the street was closed between Rockland Street and Hull and was reopened at 2:37 p.m.

Police have not released the name of the driver or the victim.

No charges have been filed and the crash remains under police investigation.
