Passed Out Driver With Foot On Brake Faces Drug Charges: Hingham Police
Police say they had to break the window of the SUV to wake up the driver.
HINGHAM, MA — A Weymouth man allegedly found behind the wheel passed out should have his licensed revoked, police said.
Ryan Lane, 32, was arrested last Saturday and chard with drugged driving, possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, and possession of Class A and B drugs, according to the Hingham Police Department.
Officers were flagged down by a USPS Mail Carrier about the driver, who was passed out on Main Street. Police say the SUV was in drive, locked, and Lane had his foot on the brake. He was breathing but unresponsive and was slumped over the steering wheel, with a belt tied around his left arm and heroin visible on the center console.

Officers could not wake him and and had to block the SUV with cruisers to prevent the vehicle from rolling or moving. Police had to break the window to wake Lane up.
A request was made to the RMV to have his license revoked as an immediate threat.
