Alleged Hingham House Thief Has Arraignment Continued

Ronald W. Dwyer, 58, of 87 Kings Cove Beach Road, Weymouth had an arraignment on charges of receiving stolen property over $250 and driving with license suspended as a subsequent offense continued rescheduled for Sept. 19 in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a when a suspect was reported to possibly have been involved in a residential breaking and entering on Downer Avenue. Dwyer, who did painting work for the home owners, is accused of entering and exiting the house as reported by a witness. He is accused of taking a antique gold pocket watch with a gold chain and a gold lady's wristwatch. The owners of the property positively identified the items as belonging to them, according to the police incident report.

David N. Manchester, 53, of 13 Richard Road, Hingham had a charge of operating under the influence of liquor as a third offense continued to Oct. 22 for a jury trial in Hingham District Court. The charge stems from a Sept. 5, 2011 incident in Hingham at 5:52 p.m. when police responded to a report of an intoxicated man sitting in his car at the Lobster Pound. Police conducted a pat frisk and found a 200 ml bottle of vodka in Manchester's right pocket and arrested him on suspicion of being intoxicated.

Arthur J. Sullivan, 49, of 33 Birch St., Weymouth had charges of operating under the influence of liquor as a third offense, operating without an ignition switch interlock, tampering with an ignition switch interlock, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a state highway traffic violation, possession of Class C Clonazepam, possession of Class B Suboxone, and possession of Class E Topiramete, Cyclobenzaprine, Gabapentin, and Zolpidem, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident continued to Sept. 4 in Hingham District Court. after police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.  

Weymouth Man Found Guilty of Malicious Damage, Larceny

Anthony M. Petitti, 22, of 20 Vicki Road, East Weymouth was found guilty in Hingham District Court of malicious destruction of property under $250 and larceny over $250 and was sentenced to probation until July 31, 2014. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 6, 2011 incident in Hingham at 6:45 p.m. when police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering at Lapels Dry Cleaning, where Petitti was employed. Police said Petitti confessed to breaking into two cash registers and taking $270 in cash and a check.
