Police Charge Two with Heroin Possession in Hingham Shipyard Parking Lot

One of the suspects was charged with using heroin in the parking lot of Patriot Cinemas at the Hingham Shipyard.

Two Cohasset residents face drug charges after allegedly using heroin in the parking lot of Patriot Cinemas at the Hingham Shipyard.

Joseph Orsie, 33, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Klonopin and receiving stolen property over $250 and Amanda Durant, 25, was charged with possession of heroin, being knowingly present where heroin is kept, and possession of stolen property over $250 according to the Hingham Journal.

Police say that they received a call around 5:41 p.m. on Tuesday for a person using drugs in the parking lot. When an officer arrived, Orsie allegedly attempted to hide something and had just shot up.

Police also found jewelry, coins, and copper in the car and are trying to link the items to recent burglaries in the area.
