Police Investigating Suicide Attempt At Hingham Retirement Complex
Police say a resident suffered self-inflicted gun wounds.

HINGHAM, MA — A shooting at a senior housing complex was a suicide attempt, police revealed Tuesday.
Monday afternoon, police responded to an incident at the Linden Ponds Retirement complex in Hingham. Police say a man inside the library suffered a self-inflicted gun wound. A preliminary investigation indicates that the person with the gun, an 84-year-old resident, fired two gunshots as part of an apparent suicide attempt.
Police say the shooting was an isolated incident. No other residents or staff were injured.
