Police: Jewelry Taken During Kilby Street Break-in

If you have any information about this break, please call the Hingham Police Department.

From Hingham Police:

Police Officers responded to a home on Kilby St. on Monday (October 26) afternoon for a burglar alarm activation. While checking the home, Officers found a rear door closed but unlocked. They checked the inside and saw valuables in open view and found no one inside.

The homeowner arrived home as Officers were still at the home. Nothing initially appeared disturbed, but the homeowner noticed an open 2nd-floor bathroom window that would normally be closed.

This 2nd-floor bathroom window was accessible from the roof (which in one area is only a short distance off the ground). The screen had been cut above each of the levers.
Jewelry was missing from the master bedroom. It appears the suspect(s) entered from the 2nd-floor bathroom window, went into the master bedroom, then left the house using the rear door.
The time of this break was at 3:01 PM on Monday. If you have any information about this break or noticed anyone in the area, please call Detective Daniel Leary at 781-749-1212 or you can leave an anonymous tip on the Drop-A-Dime link on our homepage ( www.hpd.org).
