Police Log: Drag Racing, a Suspicious Male, and More

December 8

11:01 p.m. - South Shore Hospital requested extra patrols of the area due to kids drag racing in the parking lot. That evening, multiple vehicles were racing in the large parking lot on the Hingham side for about an hour. Weymouth police were informed of the racers and told Hingham police that everyone was sent on their way and will inform their friends to not return.

3:58 p.m. - A caller reported that a hawk was just hit by a vehicle and is unable to fly. The caller later told police that the bird flew away.

8:00 a.m. - Police received a report of a female yelling and screaming in her pajamas outside while putting up Christmas lights on Rhodes Circle. The female was frustrated with the decorations.

4:10 p.m. - A caller on Foley Beach Road reported a male across the street with a Santa hat and clipboard walking around. The caller was concern about the recent robberies. The man was sanding on the steps of a vacant house and then walking down the road. During a search, the man was gone on arrival.
