Police Log: Larceny, OUI, Dogs on Thin Ice, and More

The following is from the Hingham Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

March 5

11:30 a.m. - A dog that fell through the ice by the Hingham Yacht Club was reported. The dog was able to get out of the icy water and to the backside of the island.

7:48 p.m. - A truck crashed into a snowbank at the intersection of Central and Emerald Streets. When police arrived, Richard Burnham, 54, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating recklessly to endanger, and a marked lanes violation.

March 6

1:31 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop by Volvo Village of HIngham on Lincoln Street, Ismael Colon, 34, of Roxbury, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

2:45 a.m. - During a building check at the Wompatuck State Park entrance on Union Street, Peter Mammy, 34, of Norwell, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

9:50 p.m. - A male on near Cafe Tosca on North Street was placed in protective custody.

March 7

10:30 a.m. - A caller reported a dog that fell through the ice near Eye Drive. The dog was removed from the water and reunited with its owner.

March 8

3:29 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Cushing Street, John Farrell, 54, of Hingham, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, drinking alcohol from an opening container in a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.

6:18 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Charles Everett Way, Kimberlee Saunders, 32, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250.
