Police Log: OUI, Drug Possession, and More

The following is from the Hingham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned do not imply conviction.

January 16

11:45 a.m. - A caller at the Main Street Market and Deli reported an intoxicated person attempting to drive away. When police stopped the vehicle on Crooked Meadow Lane, David White, 51, of Hingham, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, negligent operation to endanger, and a marked lanes violation.

January 17

12:43 a.m. - After a car crash at the Hingham Rotary, James Murphy, 20, of Quincy, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, negligent operation to endanger, failure to wear a seatbelt, and marked lanes violation.

3:13 a.m. - Cameron Bastis, 18, of Weymouth, was arrested during a traffic stop on Fort Hill Street and charged with possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute, 1 number plate violation, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
